My guinea pig had her back teeth filed Jan last year...she had same symptoms this year (loosing weight, not eating, sounded like she was going to be sick on one occassion)...took her back to vets...told me they would sedate her get a good look at her teeth and do what they have to do. Upon collecting her it was a different vet that did her teeth..."I've trimmed the bottom but didn't feel confident doing the back...she could choke and our best vet did one the other day and it died ,take her to exoctic if she doesn't improve within 48hrs"...got her home she can't even pick up food (think she must have trimmed bottom ones too short. Booked the exotic vet for Thurs fully syringe feeding now...which she goes through phases of hating/ not minding...but I just don't know what to do for the best...she's nearly 7...she seems bit uncomfortable with her tummy so obviously worried about bloat...i know the teeth is going to be a common problem with her...what would u do? She is a solo piggie as I lost my other one in October. Any advice pls?

Truthfully at 7 I wouldn’t put her through any more, especially as she is now alone, I have never had good results with surgery on older piggies. Sorry to hear she is so unwell 😢
