My kitten poops in her carrier

My kitten, who is now 6 months old, hates the car and every time I take her in the car to the vets she had diarrhoea in the crate. When we took her home from the rescue centre the poor thing had diarrhoea and then sat in it as she was so scared.

We have tried a few more few min trips in the car just to try and get her used to it but epic fail as diarrhoea within minutes of driving.

Anyone else experience this or any tips. We are moving in the new year and have a 2 hour drive ahead and don't want to stress her out. Vet said sedation was out as she would still be stressed and have diarrhoea.

One of mine wees in the carrier - it's not something I've ever managed to solve and he'll be four next year. We just put puppy pads down and give him a bath in the sink when we get him home, which he's surprisingly tolerant of.

We've had him since he was a kitten but he's never liked the carrier or the car. I think it's just one of those things you have to manage rather than solve - puppy pads down and clean up any accidents she has as soon as possible.

Thank you! Yes I think it's something we have to accept.
