Guinea pigs adapting to 2 level cage

Hi! We’ve just moved the piggies into a lovely big 2 story cage indoors. They seem scared of the ramp at the moment and will not move between levels. Any success stories of doing this and how long it takes them to get used to the ramp?? It also has their house up a ramp…

Ours never learnt to go the ramp unfortunately. We bought big one level cage for them.

Leave a trail of food/veg going up the ramp with a bowl full upstairs

Mine where the same and i kept putting them on the top level and putting their food on the bottom level and they soon got the hang of it and realised there was a whole new place to go. 1 piggie still prefers to be downstairs most of the time where as the other one will zoom between floors.
Good luck

Thanks. I’ve bought a little bridge to ease the transition onto the ramp! And I will do the trail of food option too.
