My Guinea Pig thinks he's a bunny....

This is James.

We got our lovely group of piggies in March, did all our research, from food to behaviour and thought we were well prepared. Kids love them and watching them get the zoomies and popcorning has been great for them!

James has bigger ideas. I thought that whilst piggies can do their little jumps, they don't really climb or jump on things. Except this one.

Cleaned out the poop today to find that captain mischief had jumped inside the tube I put on top of one of the hidies. I kept an eye on him, seemingly unbothered by heights, he jumped down again. It's not the first time he's attempted jumping either....

Anyone have any other stories of jumping pigs or other pets with identity problems?

Ahhh James is lovely (and not many guinea-pigs jump they don't really have the bodies for it) but ....

one of my guinea-pigs we had when I was a kid . I chose a lovely b/w female ( we already had two Himmys Mum/daughter) . The new one was pregnant and gave birth to a female piglet .
The new baby could run upstairs . But not downstairs .

More recently my DD haf a Rex boar (1.4kg so a big fella , more like a rabbit in stature) . When we took him and his wives back to their shed in a plastic crate with a locking lid we had to make sure it was on the floor and everything clear because he rose up on his hind legs and leapt . The side of the box was my kneeheight !
