Help with cat flea treatment!

Hi I need some advice from a animal professional please! Today I found a flea in my house so I treated the whole house with verbac (I think) which contains permethrin, however I have read on the internet that this is VERY toxic for cats and it didn't say anything about that on the bottle. There is a cat in the neighbourhood which comes to my house every day and now I'm worried that I've made my house toxic. Is permethrin ok once it's dry or is there anything I can do to make it safe again?? TIA

Virbac is fine. Pets cannot go in the room for one hour after spraying. Then open windows after the hour to ventilate

I use this on a monthly basis and I have two cats one of which spends more time sleeping in trees with foxes than he does with us (perfectly healthy just likes being outside unless it's really cold)I just make sure I open windows and leave door shut for a while before letting cats in room. Having been doing this for a good 10 years xx
