Guinea pig allergy

My MIL is allergic to guinea pigs (and cats!). Does your guinea pig fur 'travel' around the house? She comes over very often so I don't want her to be uncomfortable.

They wouldn't live in the lounge but my home office, but as they are adjacent rooms and fur/bedding does 'travel', would it have an impact. MIL is fine with the hamster, no allergic reaction.

My husband is allergic to our guinea pigs, but only if he has direct contact with them, but it really depends on how severe your MIL's allergies are. If they are mild, keeping them in adjacent rooms should be fine as long as you can keep the door to your piggie's room closed to limit exposure. You can also get a small air filter for extra support.
