Converting a playhouse for rabbits - sleeping arrangements?

Hi,
We're adopting a couple of rescue rabbits. They are currently housed in a large hutch, with a tunnel leading to a large outside run. However, the hutch is very old and I'd prefer to put them in a larger playhouse.

My dilemma is what to provide for them to sleep in within the playhouse - especially when it gets cold. I was thinking of something like this, filled with hay and adding a heatpad when it really gets cold, but I was wondering if it will be a bit of a squeeze. Anyone have any other suggestions?

It's a bit small and expensive for what it is. Would your hutch fit in the playhouse? You could leave the hutch door open or remove it.

Thats perfect, i was going to say put the old hutch in the playhouse but this is good too. Then I would add a door from the playhouse to the tunnel to the external run so they can access anytime too. Perfect. The heatpads are great too

The best kind of rabbit hides have at least two entrance/exits - they feel more secure that way. The Amazon thing is surprisingly small for what it is. You’re better DIYing something. Or treat them to one of these: www.manorpethousing.co.uk/rabbits-indoor

Thanks all. The hutch is 6ft long and the playhouse is not as wide, so I can't put the hutch in. I've gone for this as a shelter as it's a lot bigger: homeandroost.co.uk/product/large-hatfield-small-animal-rain-shelter/

We're also planning to add the tube to the playhouse and then they will have access to their very large, secure outdoor run whenever they want.

We've got this one and it's just arrived. It's looking good so far, although if you've got space/the money, I'd say go a bit bigger. We've got a very big run though, which they have permanent access to.
