Hoover for hay

Hi I wondered if anyone has a vacuum cleaner which works ok for hay. Its mostly small bits about 2 to 3" long. I can't use my vacuum because it just got blocked when I did and was difficult to unblock. I am a bit fed up of sweeping the carpet from my guinea pigs. Thanks.

My Shark seems to cope pretty well with bits of hay :)

My Shark was bloody rubbish with hay , constantly blocked , I kept a bamboo stick to poke the clumps of hay free .

A rubber broom (JML do one ) and a handheld rubber brush (Lakeland ) were brilliant .

I have two cats now ( pigs crossed the bridge) so the vacuum ( Halo Capsual) has to cope with fur (loads) and tracked liitter .

DH doesn't think they're as messy as the guineas were .......... Pah !
