Feeding hay for rabbits.

Can anyone recommend a good place to get feeding hay for buns online? I've been getting Burgess from PAH but it's expensive and a pain to trek to get it every other week. Any suggestions gratefully received! Thanks.

Hi you dnt have to get burgess hay

You could get their own hay
You could get it delivered if you purchase enough you could get it delivered for free

Or have you tried the range?
They do straw and hay for £3.99

I've got 3 bunnies
How many have you got?

I also feed them on PAT nuggets

We get Timothy hay and it has flowers in it. We generally use a brand called hi 5 a day. You can get it from home bargains and the range. We got our last bag from the range. It's £1.99 a bag. We use PAH nuggets too. They seem to be good quality and last a while.

With my guinea pigs I always bought hay from Wilkinsons. Found it cheap and good quality. They do both Timothy and meadow hay but I always preferred Timothy hay. Not sure which hays rabbits can/cannot have so can't help in that aspect

I forgot about Wilkinson
I will try that when next in town

I have two bunnies. I feed them on PAH nuggets as that is what they were on when I got them. One was a rescue that had been left there and another who was orphaned. They are now best pals.

They love oaty harvest but it is pricey so I mix it in with the stuff you can get from home bargains. They also get carrot and lettuce, they are bunnie cliches Smile

So nice to talk to other bunny owners
A lot of my friends dnt have rabbits
Nice to pass on what different things we do and feed our buns
I've got 3 rescue rabbits
I'm going to get the 2 female rabbits neutered next week £200 the vet said
I have shopped about but came back to my own vet which was the cheapest

Also got them vaccinated against mixi and vhd which is now a combined vaccine so that's better

I get the meadow hay from Wilko's for my bunny. I get the harvest straw for a layer underneath because it's thicker, and then meadow hay on top to munch. They have timothy hay too which I occasionally get for a change.

I have a subscription to Hay Box. The quality is excellent! I get one box of Timothy and one box of Meadow.

Bunny geek

How much do you pay for the subscription and how much is that for ? If you dnt mind me asking 😁

bunnygeek · 30/10/2020 19:49

It’s not the cheapest, but I pay £26 every 3 weeks.

Thewhothewhatnow · 30/10/2020 20:05

We buy from hoptoforage.co.uk Our spoiled lady is super fussy but will eat their straw. They provide a great service

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 31/10/2020 08:37

Not rabbits but I had guinea-pigs .
I bought hay from The Range , huge blocks but I had a dry garage to store and there was a car park just outside The Range so easier to bulk buy

Their favourite hay was Jolleys - it had a tobacco/honey smell ( I know sounds weird but so lovely)

Strawberry4561 · 31/10/2020 08:58

Ours love ‘Ings’ hay from www.hay-and-straw.co.uk/

It’s very long stemmed hay, much better quality than Burgess in my opinion. You can buy giant bags and it works out a lot cheaper for us. They deliver.

These folks are great:
nibbleandgnaw.com/
Quick delivery and tasty hay!
Thet do a subscription discount as well. I have guinea pigs as opposed to rabbits but started getting nibble and gnaw hay in lockdown.
