Why are the pigs being so tetchy?

3 girls. Coming up to 2 years old and been together since we got them as babies.
This last week they are countering and casing each other around. Throwing their houses at each other and generally being really grumpy with each other.
Any idea why and how I can cheer them up?

A couple of mine have been the same this past week, no idea why.

I checked all for any injuries or illnesses, did a vet trip as I couldn’t get in the wriggly one’s mouth and all is fine so I’ve put it down to something weather/heating related.

And to cheer up, you could build them a castle?

They seem a bit less grumpy this evening.

I have two boys that fall out with each other for a day or two at least once a month and then gradually make friends again. I put it down to them being youngish but have no idea what sets them off. And giving them a new toy, like one of those carrot cottages they can gnaw the roof off or a seagrass tube that they will devour entirely in a week or so definitely cheers them up. I spend far too much on guinea toys. They are extremely cute naturally.

Most likely going into season.

My sows were evil little snippy blighters (we had two sows with a neutered boar and two who lived beside them )

Their pee stunk in season but luckily it was only 24-48 hours .
Our poor boar was like a cavy Father Dougal (from Father Ted) .....cute and utterly gormless Grin

Lovely piggie photos , I cannot believe that they have a scrap of devilment (actually I can . Sows are feisty little ratbags )
