Have your guinea pigs had teeth filed?

I think gp5 needs his doing. He's lost weight and one front tooth looks longer than the other. However, gp3 had his teeth filed but he never recovered I know we were unfortunate and I now know that I would only use a guinea pig expert vet, but what realistically is the success rate? It's not fair to put gp5 through it if the chances of success are not good.

Glad to hear you’ve got a new little friend. My Mr Pig is off for teeth filing again tomorrow. Hopefully it’ll just be routine. Since the big issue, it’s been straightforward.

You need to post pigtures , it is the recognised currency for Guinea-Pig Advice

I still look at Guinea-Pig rescue sites (and Gumtree !) and think "Awww you could come and live with me ........."
But our Pighouse has been removed /demolished so the start up for pigs would be ££ (and I cannot get into the Bunny Run to catch the little swine now)

I can confirm that Mr Pig is fine. I’m not sure about well behaved but he was stuffing his face within about four seconds of his teeth being done!

He's so settled I'm really shocked! Every day he's a little more confident. I'll try and get a photo today
