GPs and noisy household

I'm after some advice please. I am hoping to rescue a pair of guinea pigs later in the year and also have 2 children who would be 8 and nearly 4 by then. I have been planning to have the GPs in a decent sized run (c and c cage) at one end of our open plan living area. The kids are definitely quieter than average for their ages but obviously do make a noise sometimes. We have a piano at the other end of the living area and one of us plays a brass instrument so from time to time it will be noisy and there are no doors downstairs so I couldn't shield the piggies from it. Do you think this set up sounds ok or would the noise of music (and kids!) be very stressful for piggies?
