Our boy is humping balls. Time to get him done so he can have a little friend. How much does it cost and what was your experience?

Varies vastly by area/vet. Mine was around £70, same as guinea pigs. He was a bit sorry for himself that day but was completely fine by the next morning. Main thing is to make sure he keeps eating.

£50 for us, we took him in with his favourite snack to encourage him to eat straight after the op, he came round quickly and we got the call to pick him up only about 3 hours afterwards, we were given a small dose of painkiller to give him for a few days and he was a little subdued for a day but otherwise all went well. Good luck! We had our boy neutered to get him a lady friend too, about to commence bonding!

Two vets locally to me quoted £80 for a male, £110 for a female.
