My DDs hamster has worked out how to open the cage door by herself and keeps escaping. She went in the dolls house, picked up the baby doll in her mouth and ran off with it. We found it stashed in the cupboard under the kitchen sink with a pile of hamster food.
She makes us crack up laughing she is such a little character. Anyone else got any good hammy stories?

Our current hamster is adorable. She loves to sit on your lap and have a wash and something to eat! She is extremely friendly and has very often fallen asleep sitting in between me and DD1!

Many years ago we doing some DIY at home, and old hammy escaped and managed to get in the cavity wall. After listening for scratching and little footsteps, DH knocked three or four holes in the wall in various areas. Next the door came off it's hinges and floorboards were take up. After four hours we gave up and went to bed. The following morning, hammy was in his cage, curled up in his bed, fast asleep......Grin
