Worming guinea pigs?

Does anybody do this?
Our piggies are around 9 months old now. They are indoor piggies but we put them out in their run when the weather is nicer. They LOVE grass!
Have googled this and the info seems to be that you can worm them but that perhaps they can also do without Just wondering what others do?

Had many guinea pigs over the space of 11+ years and never wormed them or heard of worms being a problem. There guts are extremely efficient and fast moving. I can't imagine worms taking hold. Did I mention that piggies are poo machines.

Thanks for your reply fortified I'm quite glad to hear they shouldn't need worming. I worry about medicines and stuff upsetting their delicate little digestive systems! Haha yes they definately have busy little bottoms

Also never wormed a pig and had no problems. As fortified says, their digestive systems are constantly working I can't see that worms could be an issue, unless perhaps a pig was already quite ill.

We've never wormed any of guinea pigs, our vet has never asked if we have or suggested that we should.
As others have said they're such efficient pooing machines, I doubt it is a problem.

I use Xeno450 , it has a wormer included.
I have no idea what random critters walk across our garden ( and what they leave )

BTW - the speed of a guinea-pigs gut is impressive but don't forget it goes through twice , they pooh eat
