Thread title went wrong on the original!
So GP1, who outlived two others, was fine yesterday morning. In the evening he went downhill and of his food and died late last night
He had a good life and brought us a lot of pleasure. I'm assuming it was simply old age as he was 5.
Gp4 is 2. He's always looked to GP1 for reassurance. We left gp1 in their cage but gp4 got distressed pushing him around trying to to rouse him
How soon do we leave it before getting him a new buddy? I think he's going to be very anxious on his own.

Is this nice or really tacky? https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/253399370216?chn=ps&adgroupid=51190283679&rlsatarget=pla-413085721323&abcId=1133936&adtype=pla&merchantid=115071328&poi=&googleloc=1007200&device=m&campaignid=1057753379&crdt=0&ulref=https%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F1%252F710-134428-41853-0%252F2%253Fmpre%253Dhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.co.uk%25252Fi%25252F253399370216%25253Fchn%25253Dps%2526itemid%253D253399370216%2526targetid%253D413085721323%2526device%253Dm%2526adtype%253Dpla%2526googleloc%253D1007200%2526poi%253D%2526campaignid%253D1057753379%2526adgroupid%253D51190283679%2526rlsatarget%253Dpla-413085721323%2526abcId%253D1133936%2526merchantid%253D115071328%2526gclid%253DCjwKCAjwwtTXBRBsEiwArqXyMkcFghX5Bdxv3Slip73eLPw7o1rAr6r16huKnguQ3V3YrARLSSisBoCWEUQAvDDBwE%2526srcrot%253D710-134428-41853-0%2526rvrid%253D1527676626344%2526rvrr_ts%253D50f0c9b51630ac894b454f3dfffdfd08

I think that's quite sweet (though I don't like the sleep/dream euphemism for death. I;m a "Rainbow Bridge" sad git)

I found a lovely patch of grass over GP3 burial site (our pigs all get sealed in boxes to stop the foxes getting the body) .
I debated for 0.05 seconds and decided he'd want his wives and their new husband to have it...so I cut it. Blush

When you do plant him out make sure the foxes can't get his body. Bad enough to have them die , 100x worse to find them shredded .

I think it's sweet too. And that's despite my hard 'drop them off at the vets in a box' approach to my pets' demises. I do have a photo gallery of pets past and present on my fridge though and if you look very closely you can spot the odd photo of the kids as wellGrin

I prefer the slate one TBH but it depends on where he's going. If its going to be overgrown or in a border the steel one will be more prominent. (But a bit Pet Semetary mwah ha ha )

If you put gravel over him, the slate one would be nice.

We have a stone cat figurine (given to us as a weddung present) that we put over our cat's grave.

I feel sorry for whoever buys my house when I'm gone , they'll find lots of little Lock&Lock boxes full of leaves ....Don't Open Them!.... , a zip up toiletry bag and a hastily fashioned cardboard and ducktape box .

Haha 70!
He's in a corner so the slate one wouldn't be seen, but I'm not bothered about having something on show. I just like the idea of something to remember him. We've been tidying the garden today and DS has asked if we can get a special plant to go where he's buried which I think is a lovely idea.
