Where I live we are going to start paying per bag of rubbish. Does anyone compost their guinea pig bedding, or can suggest what will compost the best? I've tried to compost equibed before but it took ages. Any tips much appreciated!

We have an allotment and compost all our guinea pig and rabbit bedding and contents of litter trays. We use wood shavings, newspaper and hay. We used another bedding for a while that was made of miscathus grass..can't remember the name. It was no good for compost because he kept growing.
