Hi, looking for a hutch to house two adult boars. I've looked on Amazon and pets at home but all seem to have poor reviews. Thanks

I used Manor Pet Housing for my rabbits and the quality is fantastic. They might be suitable for guinea pigs too :)

I have this for my 2 piggies for indoors.

If you're after an outdoor hutch -

(I have a playhouse converted )

one level is better , ramps tend to be steep and take up a lot of the floorspace.
It needs to keep the living area protected from rain or draught (you can get covers)
And make sure it can't get knocked over in high winds
And they invariably need more bolts
And be careful with those sliding floors ...foxes can move them
check how secure it is against foxes and cats . I have a 2nd hand P@H rabbit hutch (bought to add onto a run but we moved it inside the Pighouse and it stays there full time) The quality is quite shit TBH, we had to reinforce the wire , its a bit shakey when we move it. As its in the pigshouse I'm fine with that but I wouldn't trust it as a main house.

Indoors C&C is brilliant ...........but I've just spent ages hoovering up hay n my pigs' bedroom, it does let their mess out Grin

Thanks for the replies. It is an outdoor one I'm after. The current one we have is a bit chewed not sure what brand it is as came from a car boot. Just found this one www.therabbithutchcompany.co.uk/rabbit-hutches/the-summer-house-5ft-rabbit-hutch.html.

How do you guys line yours? I've been doing fleece but getting fed up of the washing.

Agree re all the poor reviews - I was looking today for one of the triangular runs (have indoor pigs but want them to have more excursions outside - currently have a metal playpen with canvas roof but we have too many neighbourhood cats for me to feel comfortable with this arrangement...) and so many pens and hutches have reviews about flimsiness or impossibility of building!
Maybe it's time Ikea started making hutches!

too look at "BunnyBusiness" for their rectangular runs ( they don't have a base but guineas don't dig) they do have side door and door on the 'roof'

I have a 4x2 triangular cage as a spare (mainly for limiting grass for new pigs , bought for when one of my boars was going sterile) but there isn't really a lot of room. Its like being in a loft conversion in an up&over roof. And they're vunerable to cats etc poking their faces in the side. One of my pigs , glossy jet black boar attracted magpies Shock

We use heft y tent pegs in the rectangular runs and a couple of old fitted sheets as shade covers . I really wouldn't trust the open top/canvas cover , piggies are far too defenceless.

We have this one www.guinea-pig-hutches.co.uk/windsor-guinea-pig-hutch.htm
I know there's people who say guinea pigs don't like ramps, but ours are great with it.
We have the accompanying run www.rabbit-hutches.co.uk/windsor-run
We use fleece when they are indoors, but outdoors our guinea pigs have megazorb with lots of hay.
