Giant snails

Does anybody have them?

I've had one for two months now and just got another one to keep him company.

Any advise or tips?

We have several at work that I am currently snail sitting as we are closed due to the weather.
If you keep more than 1 you need to keep a careful eye on the temperature as they will breed (lots).
Don't forget they need a good supply of cuttlefish.

I wouldn’t keep 2 together as they breed like no tomorrow. Otherwise easy pets ds1 had a few he says don’t give them lettuce as they don’t tolerate it well most other veg are fine, constant supply of cuttlefish bone and keep them humid

I wouldn't keep two together they are hermaphrodites so they will breed and they breed like rabbits! You would also have to responsibly re-home all the baby snails as you can't put them into the wild as they are a controlled animal.thatbwould descimate our native snails. If you can't re-home them you have to kill them which I wouldn't like to do.

You can freeze their eggs and fees them to the birds.

Everyone I've spoken to before now has always said get more than 1 they like the company so thought I was doing right getting him a little buddy but yes I will be on the look out for eggs thank you.

Don't worrybyoull know if they're mating, they're noise little buggers !
