Urgent advise please r.e. dying bunny

Hi I have another post regarding my rabbit who suddenly took I'll on Friday and the vet thinks it was e-conuculi (sp?)

She has been having panacur but has rapidly gone downhill and this morning was lying lifeless in her cage and cold and unresponsive but still breathing

I have wrapped her up in a blanket with a hot water bottle (wrapped in a towel) as she was so cold but I am sure this is the end

Shall I leave her in peace to go peacefully and warm or should risk taking her to the vet and potentially upsetting her (if she even makes it to the vet) for them to euthanize?! Pleas help

Hi I am so sorry you are going through this. In my experience with small furries if she doesn't appear to be conscious then she is likely near the end anyway. They don't tend to hang around for ages like a human or other larger creature might. To set your mind at rest I would call the vet and ask their advice though.

I called the vet and they recommend I took her in but by the time I shoved some clothes on she was already gone. Poor little rabbit

Oh, bless her (and you). You did your best for her, and she was not suffering at the end. I know how it feels though, still feel very sad about my last guinea pig that died six months ago. Some people just don't get it unfortunately. I've always found that rabbits, guineas, etc. are very innocent little creatures who do have personalities and are quite easy to love. You gave her a good life, think of all those people who just can't be bothered with their (or their children's) pets.
