More fleece bedding questions

So we've got a padded fleece liner for the cage for guinea pigs. If you use fleece,do they need snuggly hay as well?

I use fleece. Hay sticks on it so much! I put in a shallow plastic litter tray and fill it with hay, then put a cardboard box on top with doors cut in so they can get to the hay.

They tend to eat, toilet and one sleeps in there too

The other sleeps in an igloo so directly on the fleece.

Each to their own

I'm hoping to not put anything else in, but wanted to check if they'd be warm enough.
