I enjoy them so much! We got them before easter from rescue and they have tamed really well and are such hilarious little chaps I work from home on my own and they really cheer me up! I put them on the lawn this morning and they are so excited because they have been hutch-bound for a few days in the rain - they are chuntering away,eating all the grass and every now And then one will have a go at shagging the others who will be outraged and chase the offending bro away before they all Carry on eating the grass 😂

My piggies aren't out (rain) but when they've had some late evening grazing earlier this week, our GP7 (she looks like a tri-colour woolley mammoth bless her ) has a Mad Half Hour , tearing round the run.

Our boar is ver' ver' interested at the moment , I think the girls are in Season. He hasn't slept in his hutch much , he's camping out by their hutch window ( Evidence is there to see -wee/pooh)

I'm still planning to bond them, though at the moment, they look like they'd rip his nuts off - if he had any !

They are so funny aren't they? Mine are about 9 months I think so they don't really know what they are doing - they just go all swaggery and grunty then launch a surprise attack on an unsuspecting bro and mount up before being nipped and shouted at by the object of their affection! The most funny thing is that they are all as bad as each other and yet are so indignant when they are on the receiving end! Crazy pigs!

I'm pleased really because they seem quite equal in it all - no real bullying - and I know boars can sometimes be tricky in a group. Long may it last!

The girls are stir crazy here, after a couple of glorious days when they thought spring had spring, they've had to stay indoors due to rain stopping play.
So it's been grass cutting my mum and being hand fed.
Sadie has learnt (at 2 years old) to shout and so this is all we hear at the moment.
Hopefully they'll get out at the wheekend

I've checked and it's dry enough to play out, so here are mine waiting and ready.

And here they are mowing. Madampig is still quite shy and tends to make Gingerpig is between her and any danger (me/the camera).

Ginger has made a fine looking young Madam pig looks very settled and glossy.

Sadie and Mollie will be so jealous, it is teeming down here yet again, still at least their grass will be extra lush.

Mine were back in at lunch time for rain but it's brightening up again so they might make it out for another hour a bit later if they are lucky

I would have agreed with you about 'gentle and sweet' until last week when Gingerpig decided to bite Current Bun's ear. The pigs were in their box awaiting transportation out to the run when Current Bun decided to visit them. Poor bunny only gave them a quick sniff and Ginger responded with an ear nip. I'm choosing to believe it was a social grooming nip and not malicious. Poor Current Bun is no longer speaking to Ginger, although he still socialises with Madam when he gets the chance.

We had a spate of ill bunnies and pigs on here a while back. I did fear for him.

Thanks East. I was worried about him too - he didn't eat for 2 weeks. But he rallied and now he's back to normal, moulting everywhere, hiding behind the hoover and playing his new favourite game of knock over the laundry basket and play in the contents.

Maybe Gingerpig thought CurrentBun was after his laydee.

Male piggies don't switch off the hormones when they're done.
Ginger-minus-his-nuts still thinks he's the Bizz and will try it on with Madam.
So he probably thinks CurrentBun has his eye on her too, coz she's gorgeous .

Madam probably gives Ginger a quick snap when he oversteps the mark though

In those photos, is there a lid on the pen? I have a pen like that but it just has a sort of mesh top you peg on. I sit next to it in the garden with a brush convinced a local car is going to force its way in and have them for lunch
The pigs hide in their house thingy and eat grass. No one is very relaxed, unlike your ones OP!

Hi toot - the top is just a peg on one and I wouldn't leave them in it whilst I went out but if the back door is open I'm happy they are safe emough. They do love to hide but after a while they will come out and play - The cardboard box house is because they would all squeeze in the plastic igloo and it became like a sauna in the sun so I swapped to the box which is bigger and more airy 😊 They also have a wooden hut and a cardboard tube I put in if they will be out for a few hours. Love that run because it's so easy to set up and move and big enough for my kids to sit inside it with the pigs to play with them without me having to worry about them escaping or being dropped 😊

Piggies are really lovely little creatures.

I have two boys who were really enjoy the lovely weather we were having. When they stayed indoors agains due to the weather the were really irritated with each other. They are now proud owners of an outdoor hitch with run so they can go out even if the weathers not great.

Think I might put mine up with some food in the middle of the pen (not my pigs!) and see what the cat does..!

Mine play outside in a wooden run. It has a dark house bit and if I didn't put an old fleece blanket over the wire top my girls would never venture out of the dark place.
The fleece makes then feel safe and so they play sit anywhere. They have a tunnel for sitting in and running through and usually a cardboard box.
They spend hours just eating grass and mooching around.

Had a bit of a scare the last time they were out, Mollie the elderly was lying on her side motionless. I thought she'd quietly passed, went and gave a gentle poke, and startled her. She was dozing (sunbathing) in a warm sheltered spot
