When to let new Budgie out of cage?

I brought home a very tame, hand reared baby Budgie yesterday. He seems a little nervous but will come on my hand if I put it in the cage and is preening and has eaten a little.
From experience, when would you start getting him out the cage? I don't want to scare him but at the same time, he's been hand reared and used to people.

I would but I've posted his cute little face all over social media and don't want people knowing it's me on here Wink

As soon as he's happy to sit on your finger for me.

Is he out and about yet ?

He is, although he flies away soon afterward. He was happy to sit on my finger as soon as I brought him home, just doesn't stay for long!
