Im having to move my house buns outside, and spent my bank holiday repairing the kids rotten playhouse for their new home. Having never kept rabbits outside (our garden is frequented by extremely daring foxes despite the large dog, and rats) if anyone could give me some tips that would be great. its not quite big enough, totals about 34sqft, but when I get some more money ill get some more aviary panels to extend the run.
Iv got the painting to do when it stops raining, some latches and bolts, and iv made a step so the buns can sit on top of the inner hutch.
so should i make some solid panels to go over the mesh to provide cover now, or will it be ok til winter? and how can i keep their food off the floor?
So far i've only spent £45 on the aviary panels, and £25 on the paint, all the other wood and bits and pieces have been reclaimed and free Grin

Yes id cover with a tarp or something to give them some shade, but it's not going to be fox proof?

If rats are a problem, make sure you feed nuggets ( like excel) and not that awful meusli type food.

What else can I do to make it fox proof?
Already feed excel so that's not a problem, how do I keep it off the floor tho?

Hiya, I've used piles of bricks/paving slabs in each corner. x
