sore spot on guinea pig's back (pics)

We collected 2 9 wk old girl pigs from a local rescue centre on Monday. They have seemed to settle in fine, if very shy. DD adores them. Putting them out in the run today I noticed one had a sore spot on her back. I've shown it next to my fingertip for scale. I've not seen it before - it's not raw and looks like it's healed over but there is no hair growing there. She is long haired and quite tufty so not sure if she had this from the start or not? What do you think it is? Do I need to take her to the vet?

Is the spot painful when you touch it?
Is it flakey at all?
I'd be inclined to contact the Rescue first (you've only had them a couple of days) and ask if there was anything like a bite or similar.
It might just be a nodule or skin lump from a healed bite, hay injury or similar?
I'd be concerned more about things like ringworm (hard to see on the photo but it looks suspiciously circular.They'd be able to see it better IRL and advice you,) and you'd need to know if it;'s anything your other pig can catch.

All the hogs I've rescued have had a vet check before I got them but Things Crop Up on piggies.

Rescue owners will always give back up, advice and reassurance. Once their pigs head for pastures new, they still keep in touch (my Rescue pigs delight in telling me that the Rescue can reclaim them if I don't treat them right. Yes because they'd want three lardy spoiled hogs back )

Not flaky, doesn't seem to be painful or raw at all, but yes very circular ... Will try and get a better pic tomorrow. Sounds as if a vet check is probably in order for both of them.
How much is a small animal appointment normally (never been to a vet!!)?

Took both pigs to vet yesterday for a quick health check. Looked at spot and wasn't sure what it was ... maybe blocked gland? Can't rule out ringworm so we have to keep an eye on it over the next couple of weeks and see if any other marks appear.
So anxious about them! It's like having 2 more DC!

Guineas do get all sorts of lumps and bumps, your piggie is a long haired so not so easy to spot whats going on in all that fur.
I think keep checking them , get a couple of good photos on your phone (hold a ruler up against it for scale)

Ringworm ( thankfully I've not had to deal with it) does start off with a small 'spot' (there are tions of photos online) but it's more reddish.

It could even be something as random as an insect sting!

Make sure you don't post your piggies' rump on a Sporners Klaxon Thread, you'll get people baying for blood with tweezers.
