Our wee hamsyer is no more.

We've been away this weekend. Got home to find our fabulous wee hamster had died. .She'd been a bit quieter lately, sleeping more than usual, and was 2 and a half. We've buried her in the garden. So sad to see her empty cage. Even dp shed a tear. RIP wee woman.

I've never kept Hammys but like all Super Furries they are treasured pets.
What will happen to The Empty Cage? Is there room in your household to welcome another beady eyed rodent?

We were all very sad when our hamster popped his clogs. After a suitable gap we got another one. Amazing how different their characters are. We still talk about the first one.

Oh so sorry to read this, we love hamsters in our house.

At least hammy reached a good age though.

I don't think it will be long until we get another one. She was a lovely wee thing, even won dp round after a few months.

I don't blame you. We normally have 2 (separate) Syrians at a time and when one cage is empty it goes into storage... but not for very long
