They don't like them , poor souls.

We've had a few over the weekend, and by midweek, it'll all kickoff (and last at least another week).
We put a radio on for them to drown out the noise and a heavy blanket over the cage to make them feel secure.

Our piggies are in tonight. Very judgey in the indoor cage but they have a trug on hay and a box of hay, just in case they don't feel right sociable.

Scruffy isn't bothered by them and Current Bun can sleep through anything but it's Gingers first bonfire night, so I'm not sure about him yet.

Welcome to my world of hoovering. With a bunny in the kitchen and the pigs in the utility, I could Hoover every hour - there is usually hay lying about. I normally Hoover twice a day much to the pigs disgust as they don't like the Hoover. Current Bun loves it and follows it round but he's just strange.

Keep the Super Furries safe and secure over the next weekend (well we know it'll be all next week too. Diwali, and I think people randomly setting them off )

Luckily our hogs are lardy adults so as long as they are covered , indoors and the sound of their jaws going crunch crunch nom nom is loud enough, it'll drown the noise out.

Discovered last night that if the noise isn't the fridge door, Gingerpig is not interested. There's a huge firework display not far from us and it was quite noisy but he was not at all bothered until I opened the fridge and then the wheeking started.

I'm sure Gingerpig has shire horse genes in him. Those hairy little ankle, the docility, the constant eating. Yep. horse.

I have rediscovered the fact that sows pee for Britain.
In the indoor cage with newspaper , they pee rivers-needs daily changing.
In the outdoor haybox with litter,newspaper and hay+straw, they pee rivers-needs daily changing.

The boars, though they have their pro/cons never did this piddling [sigh]

Fortified pigs not bothered. They were too busy eating a Tesco brown paper bag they were hiding in I know, it defies logic but that's pigs for you

Mine weren't bothered either! But I think the constant racket from all the kids I childmind has desensitised them. Even my cat was meowing to get outside all evening, clearly not trying to run away and hide from the noise at all!

You may be right about Ginger pig/horse as he could rival your sows. He pees like a racehorse! I clean out most days because of him. Never had to when it was Scruffy and Smooth. Ginger also jumps a lot. Perhaps I could train him up for the showjumping at the Olympics? Although as its in South America, he may not want to travel there.

No problems here either, but then they're used to loud kitchen noises and my singing which has to be the scariest noise of all. One of the lady pigs was behaving in a very unsisterly way towards her other lady cage mates this morning. I wonder if she was more perturbed by the fireworks last night that I'd realised...

Ah, but tonight and the weekend will be far ,far noisier than last night.

We had a few brave souls outside in the pouring rain yyesterday.
It'll get noisy though.

I asked the 70 pigs if they fancied attending the Olympic Games in South America. Their answer was a resounding No

We went out last night to a party and left the pigs in the dark with no t.v.
Got home sometime after 11 and I found the girls cuddled up together in a paper bag. Millie gave me a 'piggy lips' look and after talking to them with 'the voice' we all have just for our guineas they ventured out and started eating again.

I think they had been frightened at home, it must have been noisy last night
