Hamster losing her fur

We have a female hamster. She has a very large cage, food, water, clean cage etc but we don't handle her, she's sweet enough if we have to pick her up but clearly doesn't enjoy it (understandable for a small prey animal). She lives in the spare room out of the way of inquisitive toddler and cats although we see her when we feed her each evening.

Tonight I noticed that she has a fairly big bald patch, some hair regrowing in the middle, and what looks like dryer skin around the edges. She has lost a little weight recently but has started to put some back on. Any ideas what could be causing it?

I think she's around 1 yr old

It could be some sort of mites. We had a Chinese Dwarf hamster that started to lose his fur and lose some weight. We took him to the vets who said he had mites. He had to have some injections for it.

I'd take her to the vet if I were you.
