Guinea-Pig owners. Do you ever catch them asleep?

Weird thought, but I don't see my pigs asleep as a rule. Only exception was GP2 who used to fall asleep on my shoulder and roll onto my lap , very judgey if I didn't catch him. I did learn to recognise the signs though and wedge my forearm round him.
He used to sleep in the run, curled like a croissant with GP1 (his brother) standing guard.

GP5 sometimes nods off in the run but she's a ruby eyed Himalayan so she might just be keeping her eyes tight shut against that nasty sunlight,

The sound of my heavy hairy trucker hands opening the Pighouse door would wake them up I reckon, or maybe they stay on duty in rotation.

Yes Millie does it, just as you describe, curled up like a croissant. It looks so sweet

Yep. My big fat boy will doze off on my lap. Eyes proper closed. It is mega cute. Also does the croissant thing (great description) in his house. Never seen our girl asleep, though.

Scruffypig regularly snoozes in his igloo. Gingerpig has lots of little naps and stretches out on his tummy often spread eagled! He doesn't like to sleep in houses and prefers the open.

Yes I often see mine asleep. Tricolour pig and his wifey often do the croissant curled up together thing too. (Or, more revoltingly , they sit and doze together in their plastic tunnel in the garden, festering in warm wee and poo yuck yuck yuck).

Our ginger pig tends to sleep in the open too and is a big fan of the little fleece snooze bed, he can often be found curled up in it fast asleep. (He's also been known to go to sleep on DS1's lap whilst they're watching telly. Mind you given the utter drivel that DS1 watches on telly I don't blame ginger pig for going to sleep )

Our little Sheltie is the only one I don't tend to notice sleeping, but then she is the shyest of our four and is generally hiding out in a pigloo somewhere.

Yep. When we'd only had them a couple of weeks I thought one had died as he was stretched out completely and not moving. But I've since realised that he's a sunbather and will head to wherever there is a stream of light coming through. Outside he picks the sunny spots to snooze and always stretches out.

Never but mine are still very much of the thinking that I'm going to gobble them up at any moment!

One of them (another ruby eyed Himalayan) does the kidney bean sleeping thing with his eyes so tightly shut that he looks like an ex pig. I often wake him up just to check! The other ginger pig is a shy old lump who sleeps in the covered in part of the hutch so I don't see him sleeping so often. He looks very cute when I do catch him snoozing.
