DD2's gerbil died during the night. She was coming up to 2 years and we'd had her and her sister for just over 18 months. DD2 who's 4 is naturally distraught and I've shed a tear or two myself.
My main concern though is for the gerbil left behind. What can I expect with her? It was sad seeing her trying to rouse her sister this morning and she keeps going to the corner where she died 
. She's fine at the moment but do they pine? Not had gerbils before, but what lovely, friendly little beings they are!
