Fallen for two four month old guinea pigs. I'd love a menagerie but need to be sensible. Have had two piggies before who died 18 months ago Sad so we have experience. I think I'm taking it too seriously whether to get them or not.

You need to take it seriously as getting a pet is a big commitment. My guineas lived for 7years.

What are you time and financial commitments like at the moment, if you don't mind me asking? If you feel you have the time to dedicate to them and the finances to provide them with a good diet then go for it. If not maybe hold off until you are in a better position.

I definitely have the time and financially I think we would be okay as we are pretty much in the same position as we were when they died, albeit with one more cat than then. Tbh we are quite impulsive but we spent more time thinking about getting our first hamster together, and piggies, than we did our human children! I got the last piggies purely because MN made me Grin. When our cat died we lasted about three days before starting a discussion about getting two more. The house felt cold and empty.
