Two tier guinea pig hutch

Where is best to buy a 2 tier guinea pig hutch for a pair of guinea pigs?

(I'm off to bed now but)

most hogs like one level. they are lazy and not the most athletic animals (I'm not calling my GPs lardy but...............)

If you get a two level, the ramp needs to be accessible. Shallow and if you can, with sides (so it's more tunnel like)

If you're looking for a base to go on grass bear in mind they can use it on wet grass and it'll be heavy to move.

I've never bought a hutch, and most of them I've seen (P@H, Range,Wilkos) I wouldn't trust to keep a fox out TBH.

There are some good sites on the rabbit threads (the rabbit hutches are bigger, they need 3 hops worth)
My pigs have a Playhouse that my DC used to play in (it;s a good 72" wide and long) I can stand in it (just)

Indoors they tolerate a 2'x4' cage (from the Range) that is plastic/wire .

New to piggies and bought a double decker with a ramp from P@H because I thought our two girlies like the extra space. Not a bit of it so far. Put them in the lovely spacey downstairs with treats,cardboard tube etc and they simply sat side by side like two grumpy old ladies waiting for a bus. Nothing would tempt them back up the ramp and in the end we had to lift the top off and scoop them out. The ramp is quite steep, so we'll take 70's wise advice and rig up a shallow tunnel job if we can. Don't think I like the look of the hutches with the run underneath. When the weather's warmer we have a hexagonal fold up run thing with a shady cover which we can move around the grass.We use it indoors at the moment as it has a removable floor.

We have never had pigs that will use a ramp. They just sit there looking at it and it takes up space.

We now have a one level hutch that they sleep in, but during the day they are in a run. In summer they have a huge outdoor run, but we have an inside run and hutch too for winter. They are a bit pampered to be honest!

We got ours from pets at home and it's got a ramp. Have to say our GPs love it and I like the fact they're running around more. We did alter it though- it was far too steep so we've altered the angle and it has a block underneath the bottom to lift it up.
When we got gp3 it was very warm so he was a tiny Piggie going out straight away and I was bothered he might fall off the ramp, so we built a ledge like a solid banister. He investigated it straight away and loves to run up and down. They stay out in it at night in the summer but I ' lock' them in the top bit.

The problem with ramps is that it takes a fair amount of space away from the floor by having the ramp - best off getting as big a one level as you can for pigs.

Mine have big indoor cages and come out alot.

All the hutches I have looked at recently look so small :(

We had a ramp- long, wide, shallow, carpeted for our boars to let them go onto the roof of the haybox.
They never ever climbed up. They climbed down if we put them on it.
GP3 hid under when he was a piglet.
We took it out to give more room.

We have 2tiered hutch our gp's love it now they got used to it,it took few days they would go down but not up but eventually they did,now they run up/down ramp, ours off eBay and was originally used for rabbits
