I'm not sure who has had more fun out of this - them or me and DD!

Grin Bless them having fun, they love tunnels ., the sound of their little claws trotting along

I'm looking forward to the dry days when the "70 sows" can go out and we can do tunnel mazes.

I have a scruffy old chest of drawers that I'm planning to strip down to a carcass and cut 3 doors in , so they have a nice solid Run House.

My piggies were chewing a copy of the Waitrose paper today Wink

Grin I've just realised I didn't put the decent pic of it on - it's two storeys with a crenellated top!

The big tube goes straight up to the first floor & downstairs I've used two boxes to make separate rooms with a connecting tube.

It is an absolute bugger to get hold of them with that in the run though!

I'm looking forward to spring/summer too - they'll be so excited to be on proper grass again. Am quite tempted to try & build something similar for them out of wood for outdoors.

Actually Bella was hilarious when we put it together on Thursday.

We popped her in the top to see if she'd come down the tube as we guessed she wouldn't attempt going up.

After several minutes, she wombled her way down, stuck her nose out of the end, then reversed back up Grin !

Grin -trying to get a guinea OUT of a tunnel when they don't want to.
They do that thing with their legs where they push them out to the side and all the weight goes to their rumps and you feel like you're going to strangle them (little turds)

millimat · 21/02/2015 23:09

That is great. Think it might be a mission for tomorrow!

millimat · 21/02/2015 23:10

(Although a photo of the whole construction would be helpful!)

WyrdByrd · 21/02/2015 23:27

I will upload the big pic tomorrow - for some reason MN doesn't like me uploading pics straight from my phone Confused .

Wow that's brilliant! I NEED a big tube now.Wink

Worth going in to your local flooring shop & seeing if they have any leftovers. My mum used to work for one so we popped in there & picked up about half a dozen when we got the piggies 18 months ago & just cut chunks off when they need a new bit.

That's leftover tubes from the middle of carpet rolls, not leftover carpet Confused !

Well we made a huge amount of boxes into hideaways today. GPs had a lovely few hours playing hide and seek, even without a tube!

dietcokeandwine · 22/02/2015 21:32

OMG WyrdByrd that's brilliant. I bet your girls had a ball!

Must try and do something a bit interesting for mine...they do love a tunnel.

WyrdByrd · 22/02/2015 22:11

Grin Cheers!

I get lots of boxes come my way at work and am frequently eyeing them up and pilfering them causing a shortage of junk modelling materials in nursery I'd love to do something really huge - like a piggy sized version of those wacky hamster houses.

That sounds great milli - mine love a box or two with the tape removed so they have 'doors' to run through.
