Where to get hamster from

We have made the big decision to have a hamster but where to get one from? I want a Syrian but ideally would like to get a baby from a breeder however I have looked on a couple of appropriate sites none available in Norfolk. Do any of you have any ideas or where did you go? Thanks in advance.

I don't know where in norfolk you are so may be a bit far but Atlantic in Earsham have nice hamsters but need taming. Diss pet shop hamsters have always been very tame from experience. (Not breeders but I don't think there are many around norfolk unfortunately Sad

I personally would look at local animal rescues they often have small furries as well as bigger ones.

I know it's frowned on, but all my hamsters have come from pets at home. Our current one is lovely, the friendliest we've had, no biting or nibbling at all, and all have been very healthy.

Ooh and Nottcutts in Norwich used to sell lovely hamsters, not 100% certain if they still do though.

Pets at home have new ones but also ones for re-homing that people can no longer keep so rescue ones really
