Moving abroad/how to rehome my pets :(

DH has been offered a great job in the US and it really is the oppurtunity of a lifetime. I have however got a lot of small pets that I'll have no choice but to find new homes for.

I feel so guilty and have no idea where to start.

Does anyone have any experience with rehoming their smaller pets? Any advice/guidance would be really appreciated.

What area are you in? You might be able to rehome some of them to forum members, or get some specific suggestions for rescue establishments.

I'm in the West Midlands.

You might need to be more specific about species and breeds, for people to be able to make suggestions of rescues and other re-homing methods.

I have two budgies, two piggies, two rats a mouse and a hamster.

I feel so absolutely horrible about needing to do this and I've not stopped crying. None of my family can take any in.

I can't imagine how it would feel. The best you can do is find the best possible homes or placements. To be honest, rodent rescues are generally quite thin on the ground but a friend of mine used to run one, so I know they exist! Cavies might be a little easier but I know nothing of birds.

Forums specific to those species might also be a good place to try?
