Would getting guinea pigs with a western be a mistake ?

My kids are desperate for guinea pigs and we've started having a look around for some but we have a westie dog - would it be a nightmare ?

is it a yappy dog?
i know we couldnt have small animals until our jack russell was a little older and had stopped with the yapping.
can you take dog to someone's house who has these pets?

hard to say, obviously look after them carefully but it would worry me. aren't these dogs natural ratters.

if a gp was being cuddled would dog be jealous?

He is a bit of a barker, he goes nuts if he sees a cat outside !
