GP veg list

there seem to be a few new GP owners like me about so am starting a list, please add your own

mine like broccoli (mainly the stalks), green beans, peppers, apple (sometimes), parsley (they LOVE this), cauli leaves, gem/romaine lettuce, they ate a whole bag of kale the first week then sniffed at the next bag and would not go near it (odd), they love grass, dandelion leaves and apple leaves/branches.

they don't like courgette, cucumber, tomato, grapes, rocket, corn on the cob, they eat some celery but not much, not keen on carrot either

what garden weeds/plants are safe for them to eat? I am sure I saw roses mentioned somewhere? we have loads of weeds but not sure if anything is dangerous to them.

All guineas like different things (like DC ) but sometimes they'll turn their snouts up for no reason .
"We like sweetcorn" they chirp. But they don't like Coscto sweetcorn (I think it's slightly under ripe)
"We love parsley" but only certain brands
"Carrots" but they devour the ones with leaves.

So: a collective list chez 70 (the sows eat everything at the moment, no tardiness from them, but that'll change)

Sweetcorn- with leaves if possible
Carrot - with leaves
Peppers - but only red/yellow/orange
Celery-but only leaves
Parsley-curly or flat
Mint- but not basil
Red topped cos lettuce
Romaine
Spinach,Watercress and Rocket mix
Kale -but not 'normal' cabbage
Parsnip peeling-but not turnip
Sprouts -but not cauli
Beetroot -in winter to get them tubby
brocilli- but only the flowery bits
cucumber- but only if DD is eating it

they'll peck at some things if there's nothing else

Banana
Watermelon,
Strawberries
Grapes
Apple
Not oranges

Dandelions
Not clover
Grass -of course

probably a silly Q but can they have tinned sweetcorn if its only in springwater, no sugar/salt added?
I bought corn on the cob specially for them, put one in, they ignored it and I ended up chucking it out.
tried a few days later with a fresh one, shaved all the kernels off for them in case they were just being lazy, they STILL ignored it.

they seem to like the dried bits in their museli though(they have pellets daily, museli a few times a week for a treat)

They shouldn't have cooked or frozen because there's not the nutrients that they need.
They shouldn't have too many 'sweet' things ( that includes fruit, carrots, parsnips, sweetcorn, beetroot) they can get diabetes (and fat )
They can get porky even on a healthy veg based diet.
And be aware of the calcium levels in veg (especially some green like parsley) and dark green veg (spinach, watercress) can lead to kidney stones.

I was listening to Steve Allen on LBC saying they were the easiest pet to keep.
"You, Allen, are talking out of your arse" I said, before trubdling down the garden to feed my very complex little beasts.

My boys are very definite on what they like and suspicious of new foods, so our list is:-

Cucumber (must be eaten in private in their igloos)
Parsley
Basil
Lavender (pruning the bushes when their run is near them)
Kale
Lettuce
Carrot
Peppers
Tomatoes
Grass
Hay
Dead leaves found on the lawn
Broccoli
Watermelon rind
Apple
Celery

Smooth eats all these things but Scruffy only eats the green ones on the list with the exception of hay and dead leaves
