Ooh. Sounds lovely.

Are they as intelligent as they are supposed to be? Can you cuddle them?

There was a children's book about having a pig, a runt, not the sheep pig, and I wanted one...in a basket by the kitchen stove. The peppermint pig?

Black with a ginger snout sounds adorable.

Hope it is clearing up.

ancient I remember The Peppermint Pig (Johnny - it didn't end well Sad ) , but this is a pig of the guinea variety Grin

blue how's his eye now?

guineapiglet · 21/05/2014 19:46

Another one sending your guinea happy vibes for a good recovery, their eyes are so sensitive. I was told by a vet nurse to use cooled boiled water to clean, and hopefully the stuff your vet gave will help the eye heal up quickly - nice clean hay and cage , regular clean outs etc will kill any germs. Bless him, hope he gets better soon :)

Ooh I was making up the hogs bed today and had two thorns in my hand (tiny, like you have in thistles)

Our middle aged boy gets a bit of a weepy eye from time to time if he's got hay seeds or if he's been out on the grass.

I arm wrestle him into having a salt water eyewash ( cooled boiled water with salt and non-fluffy gauze)
Usually there's a hay piece in there and he trundles off (not happy but I'm sure he's relieved)
