Rescue?

If you phone round some local rescues, let them know what you are looking for (boys? girls? )
How old your DD is
Any previous gerbil experience?
They can advice you on what you need too.
There might be a surrendered pair or they might have a pg gerbil in and you can get baby gerbils?

(I got my DD guinea-pigs from Rescue as one year olds. That worked out nicely because we knew they were two piggies that needed a home and they were grown out of any teenage arsiness attitude.

But I know my DD was Envy (secretly) that I'd had tiny baby guinea-pigs when I was her age. When we needed a new pig as a cagemate for GP1 we got a very young boy from Rescue.I was able to ask for exactly what I needed , secure in the knowledge that the back-up was there. And my DD loved her baby pig experience)

So it depends on what you are looking for?

Or do you know anyone who is rehoming (not in a Gumtree "oh, I need a good home but I want £80 " kind of way Angry )

You could look on Preloved/ Gumtree for a huge tank. Lots of gerbil sites recommend a fishtank for they can burrow.

Thank you. She is 8 and is brilliant with small furry creatures! Are boys or girls better?
