The pigs are out grazing for the first time this year - yippee! Scruffy was straight in but Smooth hid for a while - I think he'd forgotten about outside.

My boys and I have been gardening this afternoon. They mowed from 12 until 3pm when it starts to get a bit chilly. The lawn is looking much neater. They eyed up the lavender and were miffed when I told them it doesn't need pruning.

The guinea pigs in that painting are a bit pointy, aren't they? I can't imagine they are very good at posing for long. But I love the way they're surrounded by all those delicious things. I am going to get my boars on the grass this weekend if I possibly can. Just can decide whether to bite the bullet and try them together (neutral territory) or put them out in shifts. Hmm.

dotty - why not try them together if the run is big enough, but stay around just in case. Some boys that can't live together, are okay in their runs - there's just too much grass to eat to waste time fighting.

YY try the run, if you put it on a fresh bit of grass, it's neutral. Hopefully their unquenchable greed appetite will keep them busy .

Thanks for the encouragement. We're busy on Saturday but if the sun's still shining on Sunday afternoon, I'll give it a go.

Just a quick update from our boys - they had a happy 30 minutes on the lawn together, with no scrapping. They both wanted to be in the same hidey house, but managed to share it some of the time and then later swapped over between the two with no obvious aggression. So that's good news. Mulling over a longer term strategy now - but I'm happier thinking that they might have at least some time together every now and again.
