Any tips on getting hair off fleece?

I've switched to Fleece for my two piggies but it gets totally covered in hair. I'm worried about wrecking my washing machine .

I brush it and shake it as well as I can but it doesnt get that much off.

Any tips or tricks that i'm missing?

tumble dry it before hand,works with horse and dog hair.

Selotape, or other sticky tape. The wider the better.

No tumblr dryer unfortunately.
Wouldn' t using sellotape take forever?

My boys love their fleece but it's such a PITA .

try wetting your hand and runinig it over the fleece.

Using sticky tape doesn't take that long if it's wide tape. Wrap it round your hand and tap away.

I've tried a few things and also found fleece to be a PITA. I now use a mixture of newspaper and old towels which are easier to get hay/hair off them. I just give them a thorough shake and brush off outside.

I use towels and fleece on the floor indoors (GP1 can't do walking on cardboard, he comes over all "ooh I can't walk in shoes" like the butler in La Cage aux Folles )

Hay is the biggest nightmare to remove - I bought a Buddy Brush from Lakeland Limited (rubber bristles) and give them fleece cat beds.

I put them in old pillowcases tied with string then wash , keeps all the 'bits' enclosed.

GP1 is getting a bit middleaged and likes to sigh and fold himself up in a snuggly fleece

Now, how d'you get those well adhered guinea poohs off fabric.....

I'm tempted to start using newspaper with towels on top. Would that work if I changed it out every other day?

I use newspaper with old towels/rugs/blankets on top but I do need to change it every day otherwise it gets too wet.

Towels seem like they would be a lot easier. I don't mind changing it every day. I might experiment this weekend.

Indoors we have the tarpaulin on the floor then cardboard + puppy pads in 'high traffic areas' then newspaper then towels.
They do pee alot in the hay trug (I put a puppy pad + newspaper under the hay and it's tested to capacity each night )

Sometimes you have to use what's handy (DD didn't really want the Tatty Teddy Fleece any more, and GP1 is very Metro so not worried about pink fleeces)

I have got a big bag made of the same stuff that pillow protectors are made of (it came in packaging of my lakeland dryer).

I put all fleeces in it, knot it up and then wash. The hair stays in the bag.
