How to care for very sick rabbit

thankfeckitschrismas · 24/12/2013 20:25

Following yesterday's storm we found our rabbit on the doorstep

Have taken before to the vet, antibiotics and liquid feed bought,

But she is lolling with her head over on one side.
She has walked across the carpet a couple of times but has a very stffneck and has trouble breathing

What do I do now?

Doesn't sound good. I'd phone the vet.

Ooh a good sign she's just weed and pood

Poor bunny how is she now?

FernieB · 24/12/2013 22:48

Hope your poor bunny is better. I would keep her in and keep her warm. Lots of hay in a box.

Has head tilt been ruled
out? Hmm If you can, get her to a vet sooner rather than later to be on the safe side.

Hoping she's ok x

So sorry to hear this. Poor rabbit. Hope you are all okay.

Cerisier · 26/12/2013 06:57

So sorry to hear this. On the positive side she didn't suffer for long. Our beloved house bunny had head tilt and kept going for months. By the end she was very distressed and so were all the family. The vets tried everything, but to no avail.

Really sorry to hear about your rabbit, so sad for you all. Big hugs x
