How to rehome my piggies?

I think I need to rehome my boys Sad

They are outdoors, can't bring them in as no space, the cats are constantly at them - I don't think it's fair.

I don't want to advertise them incase somebody horrible takes them - what can I do?

Where are you, and are they boars or sows?

SilverApples · 17/10/2013 17:32

Idiot woman, your boys are boars of course! I meant are they neutered?

LittleNoona · 17/10/2013 18:26
Grin

No they aren't neutered. They are lovely though - I'll be sad to see them go

Hi - have you googled to see if there are any guinea rescues near you at all, or within driving distance, there is a fab one near us in Hampshire.
You could start a thread on here to see if there are any takers, putting West London in your title thread.

It is hard to think about rehoming pets, but a home where guineas are being hassled by cats is far from ideal for them, so hopefully someone may be able to offer a cat free situation for them.

Anyone?

Thanks guineapiglet.

Will google rescues now - it's important to me that they go somewhere they can relax and be cared for.

If no joy with rescues, will post on here.

Thanks again

You could try www.facebook.com/piggybank/gpr.

The Piggy Bank UK is a national support network that enables rescues to work together to rescue and rehome as many guinea pigs as possible.

Some readers here will remember that afew months ago a lady on another website needed to rehome a large number of guinea pigs. Well some of her boars went to a piggy bank rescue. Which means if they were not able to find them homes in that area, they could have asked for help in another.

And yes it has been known for SFA readers to rescue piggies Wink

Good luck

This is a fab FB page with lots of piggie enthusiasts from all over - you could ask for local advice on there. Good luck Smile
