Guinea pig bedding...Aubiose?

Don't know about bedding- btw, this isn't for me (I'm sadly allergic to guiena pigs and rabbits).

Newspaper, then bedding/shavings, then hay, right? What bedding/shavings do you use- and is Aubiose good. On omlet, you can order for £13, 20kg of Aubiose, with excellent reviews. With delivery, Dniece would only pay £18.50/60, that seems a lot compared to cheap P@H shavings, but the 'large' woodhssvings are £9.50 for approx. 11/11.5kg, according to the website, so it should work out cheaper- unless, due to smell/absorbency, it comes off worse and needs replacing more. Yes, we are doing maths about guinea pig bedding...

So...Have any of you used Aubiose? Is it cost effective and how long did it last? If you don't, what do you use and does it work well? Outdoor guinea pigs (well- they WILL be)?

Pop down a Lino tile (easier to wipe down and disinfect) then some newspaper (having made sure the print is non toxic), then shredded paper if available, then loads of hay and straw which is best bought from a farm shop. Bulk is cheaper.
Wood shavings are a massive PITA as they blow about everywhere, can be very dusty and are a pretty pricey source of bedding.

I've tried many things for my indoor pigs and have ended up using a layering system with old towels and newspaper. I start with an old towel then a layer of newspaper and repeat this 3 times. Each day I remove the top layer of newspaper. If the towel under it is wet I throw it in the wash, if not I just replace the newspaper. They get a thorough clean out when I get to the bottom layer.

Hay is put inside their houses.
