Piggies on grass in run

I have 4 sows that live in a huge cage in the shed. During the day, weather permitting, they are moved to an outdoor run with a wooden box for shelter if they wish.
My question - Can I leave them out when I go to work?
We have only had them since spring and I used to pop them out before and after school. Now the weather is cooling, I don't think I'm going to be able to do this much longer. So is it sufficient to just have them in the house for a few hours for a cuddle and a run during the colder weather?

The main worry I have with leaving my boys out is foxes. They are in a big rabbit run that pegged to the ground with tent pegs hammered in (DH has this task Grin ) but there's no base. Bit weird for a rabbit run but guineas aren't diggers.
Foxes are though.

We have boxes, tunnels and a wicker hedgehog house, and a huge oilcloth waterproof on top to shade and protect against light drizzle.

Can you let them out in the evening when you get home and weekends?

Chances are they'd be fine.
Personally speaking - with a family of 4 foxes on my near neighbours roof, who don't even blink if I hammer on the fence with a wooden plank- I wouldn't risk it. Sad

Having them in for a few hours is fine. My boys will get less outdoor time now. I wouldn't leave them in the run unless I was around.

I've just heard a horrible commotion outside (there's a service road to all the garages at the end of the garden. The foxes live on the garages)
They'd killed something- lots of noise, horrible.
Checked the hogs. They were stuffing their unconcerned little faces (thankfully)
