Guinea pig eating poo!!!

Was laughing my socks off earlier.
Big pig and little pig aka Gary, were having a run (waddle) around the back room.
Little pig did a poo, one of those squashy one they eat...so I picked it up and fed it to him...cue utter horror from DD16...and me rolling about laughing at her response!!!
Little pig seemed to find it very tasty!!

When my pigs went to the Rodentologist my DD mentioned that GP2 usually has a large soft eating pooh in my bum.(He quickly disposes of it)

When the Rodentologist lifted him, yes he had pooh. She gave it to him, he did the Judgey Face and scoffed it.

I've never seen a soft pooh from GP1- I think he jealously guards them from his brother. We just see him furtively ducking his head under

FFS I'm eating too- macaroni cheese !

My dog eats the guinea pigs poo. I figure it's like a concentrated vitamin tablet. Rather he ate the poo than the pig.

(GP pooh is just vegetable waste really. So I tell myself when I help GP2 ease out a soft pooh before I cuddle him) Or I just put him back for 5 minutes to compose himself.

Today I noticed burgandy coloured GP droppings (I'm usually pig cleaning in the dark). They've been munching down raw beetroot so it's given them a purple hue

Ours won't even eat the brown bits in their food. Fussy buggers. Never seen them eat poo must watch more closely from now on
