guinea pig and poorly dd

hiya just wanted to ask for your advice .
my dd g pig is in her bedroom and she is poorly with sore throat and cold .
im worried that he might catch it off her or am i worrying about nothing x

are you sure it is a cold?
my son is allergic to our guinea pigs and they make his nose all stuffed up and his eyes water etc

he won't be able to catch a cold off her no

I looked on some guinea websites (the answers are a bit Confused to say the least) but what I can gather:

GPs can't catch a human cold (viruses tend to be species specific) but they can pick up a respiratory infection.

As GPs are very prone to respiratory problems, I wouldn't take the risk.

When we came back from holiday in Spain, my DD had a gripey crampy stomach and was a regular visitor to the toilet (TMI Blush )

I wouldn't let her cuddle her boars for a couple of days in case they picked anything up. (But it meant I got extra share of guinea cuddles from the boys) Heh Heh. Wink

hi thanks so much . we did have both pigs in the spare room but one died and she wanted the one in her room but im gonna pop him back till shes better x thanks guys x
