GP Veggies - Can we do a list

When one of our GPs died unexpectedly have been super cautious about what veggies to give our remianing Boy as am worried that introduction of celeriac was wot done the other one in ( may have been just a coincidnece)

Our Boy is very excited about grass/ carrot tops/ carrots - all of which were in the pre celeriac diet but am wondering how to branch out a bit. He seems to like spinach too.

What do your GPs love?

Ours love dandelion leaves and flowers, carrot tops, parsley, green beans, celery, fennel, lettuce, carrots and cucumber.

They'll eat broccoli stalks happily and nibble on apple, celeriac, red pepper or swede.

Won't touch asparagus stalks, peas, green pepper or courgette.

They eat hay by the yard and guinea pig muesli but won't touch those all-in-one pellets that are supposed to be better for them. I put them out in the garden and move their pen around. It cuts down on mowing the grass - they nosh it down to stubble.

Never tried toast on them. I'm tempted. Is it OK for them in small quantities?

Ours just have a tiny bit (about 2") of toast crust every now and then. Bread doesn't really have nutrients that they need so I wouldn't want them to fill up on it,then not be able to eat their 'proper' dinner. GP1 is so food orientated, whatever we are eating,he's interested in. (Hence my Breakfast in bed, DD brought him up for a cuddle)

Have you tried pea shoots - I bought some in the salad area and now I grow peas for them.
Ours like red/yellow pepper but not green.
Never tried asparagus on them.
Turnip/swede gives GP2 nasty wind, so best avoided Envy

Turnip- best avoided for GP2 -not all guineas.
My guinea-pigs from days gone by loved turnip. It keeps them busy for ages and keeps their teeth down.

Parsnip peelings go down well if we have them on a Sunday. Same Envy effect though !
