As some of you are aware I am looking after my friend's guineas (one of whom is pregnant) whilst she is going through a very horrible and stressful period in her life. Following advice from the wealth of knowledge on this thread as she now looks the size of a house we took her from the other guineas last night into her own hutch but have ensured she can hear the others squeak. She has slowed down quite alot now and I think the happy event may be any day now. Does anyone have any more tips to make her as comfortable as we can? How long do I leave her with her babies (all being well) before they can meet the other - gender dependent introductions of course!!!

I'm not sure as we didnt know our guinea pig was pregnant until there was a new teeny tiny little pig running around

What we did do as the aunty pig was bad tempered about the whole thing was to wire mesh across the run to divide it in half. So they could sniff each other and do all their posturing without any harm. Took a few days for them to become a happy family.
