Hi all, has anyone come across an online support service for addiction (alcohol and cocaine) that is either free or very cheap?

i would like to avoid in person group therapies but would be happy to attend online or even just a chat app or something. I also don’t think AA or CA would be right for me having known some people who have used them. I also don’t want to involve my GP

I hope I have not offended anyone by saying that, apologies if I have.

many thanks for any responses or help

Don't write off AA or NA/CA until you've tried it. You certainly don't need to believe in God.

Try an online meeting tonight.

Therachange offers online sessions for mental health and emotional difficulties, so it might be worth having a look if that feels more comfortable than face-to-face groups. Just make sure any service you choose is suitable for addiction support specifically.

Smart recovery have lots of online support and offer online meetings every day. I have attended the friends and family meetings and found them really helpful. They are a bit different to AA/CA, I would recommend giving them a try:
